It was a pleasant and enriching learning experience I had with the Department of Gastroenterological Imaging and Interventional Oncology. The program allowed me to be exposed and experience innovative interventions not available in my institution that was eye opening and truly educational. The availability of state-of-the art technology and the use of such with expertise was amazing.
Professor Shiina was very much willing to share his knowledge and expetise with us, answering every queries, involving us with CT scan reading, discussing patient history, all of these activities made the experience truly fulfilling. Professor Shiina’s skill in doing RFA and MWA was amazing. The team under the department was also very accommodating that we felt welcome during our stay.
I learned alot from this observership that strengthen my interest in possibly pursuing further training in minimally invasive treatment in the near future. I’m excited to share my experience back in my institution. I am very much grateful to the Department for the experience and learnings. Thank you very much!
